The short version: the Sweeplens app collects nothing about you, and this website does not track you. Here is the long version.
The app
Sweeplens runs entirely on your Mac. It has no account, no analytics, no crash reporting and no telemetry. It does not read the contents of your files; it works with names, sizes, dates and locations, and it deletes only what you tick.
The one network request the app makes on its own is a check for updates, once a day and when you choose Check for Updates. That request goes to sweeplens.com and carries what any web request carries: your IP address and the app's version and macOS version. No identifier, no usage data. We do not store these requests beyond the standard short-term server logs described below.
The optional AI assistant is off until you set it up in Settings. If you turn it on, the app sends the names, sizes, dates and locations of the items you ask about to the service you chose, using your own account and key: either OpenRouter, under OpenRouter's privacy policy, or a model running on your own Mac, in which case nothing leaves it. Your key is stored in your macOS keychain and never sent to us.
Everything the app records stays on your Mac: run logs, the space history and settings live in ~/Library/Application Support/Sweeplens, and you can delete that folder at any time. If you send us a diagnostics file for support, it contains those logs; we use it only to help you and delete it when the case is closed.
Buying a license
Purchases are handled by our payment provider, which acts as the seller of record and handles payment details, receipts and taxes under its own privacy policy. We receive your email address and order number so we can send your license key and answer support requests. We do not see your card details.
The license key itself is checked on your Mac without contacting any server.
This website
The site is static and served by Cloudflare. It sets no cookies and loads nothing from third parties. Cloudflare keeps standard server logs for security and operations for a short period, as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not run analytics.
If you write to [email protected] we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to help you and to keep a record of refunds and license issues. We never add you to a mailing list.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, which is at most your email, order number and support correspondence, and ask us to delete it. Write to [email protected].
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new date. Changes that affect what the app sends will be described in the app's release notes.
